How do I safely removed beads from fabric?

I bought a black dress that has a sheer jacket type top, and it has beads on it (glued). I think the dress would look even better without the beads, but don't want to attempt anything that will ruin the dress top. Is there a way to safely loosen or remove them? I'm sure it's a synthetic fiber, though not sure what type.
I pulled one off a while ago on accident and they do come off easily, but leave the glue residue (very lightly seen). It's not a strong glue.

I wouldn't remove anymore because if the glue is lightly seen it might make it look worse and messy i think it Will completely ruin the dress but that's my opinion..But it's up to you :)

Hope i Helped:)

I'm looking for cheap, wholesale, bulk glass beads for fishing lures?

Jannsnetcraft, Beadsinbulk, Darice, Cabela's, BassPro, Is there any place cheaper that I can buy 50,000 beads at a time and not have to make a minimum order of $250 and follow up orders of $100+ every 2 months. I'm looking for the cheapest wholesale parts to tie night crawler harnesses. I won't buy cheap hooks or line though. Thanx for any help. Jason

the best place to buy supplies for making lures or tying flies is the local hobby store or sewing shop. i have been tying for years and have found the least expensive place to buy materials is one of the above mentioned. you get the exactly the same products but for pennies on the dollar.
good luck!

is there an easier way to put beads on thread for jewelry making?

Please tell me an easier way to put beads on the thread when it comes to making necklaces or bracelets. More experienced people, please share ideas on how I can better by designs. Especially with earrings. Thank you very very much in advance.
It's not thread. I'm using bead stringing wire w/ Austrian crystals & assorted glass beads. Looking for a quicker easier way to thread other than doing it by hand.

I'm quite experienced in this so i'm sure this will help.
use tigers tail wire, its quite a stiff wire so you can pick the beads up with the wire and not your hand.
Or, take a beading needle if you're using cotton:

Thread the needle into the cotton, make the cotton into a loop (your needle will be in the loop). Now use the needle to pick up all the beads.
what kind of materieal do you use for earrings? i use the eye-pins and head-pins mostly, and you can creat very pretty earrings & necklace pendants with thoses pins, you'll find them in any bead shop, just ask for 'beading eye-pins or head-pins.'

NB: if you're threading seed beads, a beading needle will be compulsory, otherwise it might break the glass seed beads.
I'm sure it'll help. Also, go to www.youtube.com and search for 'Karla Kam Beading Videos' She has excellent lessons for all beading stuff!!!

Uplistsikhe (Géorgie/Georgia)

Uplistsikhe (literally, "the lord's fortress") is an ancient rock-hewn town in eastern Georgia, some 10 kilometers east of the town of Gori, Shida Kartli.
Built on a high rocky left bank of the Mtkvari River, it contains various structures dating from the 26th century BC to the Late Middle Ages, and is notable for the unique combination of various styles of rock-cut cultures from Anatolia and Iran, as well as the co-existence of pagan and Christian architecture.[1]

Uplistsikhe is identified by archaeologists as one of the oldest urban settlements in Georgia. Strategically located in the heartland of ancient kingdom of Kartli (or Iberia as it was known to the Classical authors), it emerged as a major political and religious center of the country. The town's age and importance led medieval Georgian written tradition to ascribe its foundation to the mythical Uplos, son of Mtskhetos, and grandson of Kartlos.[2]
With the Christianization of Kartli early in the 4th century, Uplistsikhe seems to have declined in its importance and lost its position to the new centers of Christian culture -- Mtskheta and, later Tbilisi. However, Uplistsikhe reemerged as a principal Georgian stronghold during the Muslim conquest of Tbilisi in the 8th and 9th century. The Mongol raids in the 14th century marked the ultimate eclipse of the town; it was virtually abandoned, and only occasionally used as a temporary shelter in times of foreign intrusions.[2]

The Uplistsikhe complex can tentatively be divided into three parts: south (lower), middle (central) and north (upper) covering an area of approximately 8 hectares. The middle part is the largest, contains a bulk of the Uplistsikhe rock-cut structures, and is connected to the southern part via a narrow rock-cut pass and a tunnel. Narrow alleys and sometimes staircases radiate from the central "street" to the different structures.[3]
The majority of the caves are devoid of any decorations, although some of the larger structures have coffered tunnel-vaulted ceilings, with the stone carved in imitation of logs. Some of the larger structures also have niches in the back or sides, which may have been used for ceremonial purposes. At the summit of the complex is a Christian basilica built of stone and brick in the 9th-10th centuries Archaeological excavations have discovered numerous artifacts of different periods, including gold, silver and bronze jewellery, and samples of ceramics and sculptures. Many of these artifacts are in the safekeeping of the National Museum in Tbilisi.
Several parts of the most vulnerable areas were completely destroyed by an earthquake in 1920. The stability of the monument still remains under a under substantial threat, prompting the Fund of Cultural Heritage of Georgia (a joint project of the World Bank and Government of Georgia) to launch a limited program of conservation in 2000.
